About the Owner
Diana’s passion for food began in Zambia, where she spent her childhood cooking alongside her father—a special bonding time that sparked her lifelong love for the kitchen. At just 13, she and her sister started the first tiered wedding cake business in their hometown of Choma, quickly gaining popularity for their beautiful, handcrafted cakes.
After moving to Tasmania, Diana became a qualified radiation therapist, but her love for food never faded. Years later, after falling in love with a New Zealander and settling in Kihikihi, NZ, she returned to her roots—this time with a vision to build something bigger.
For the past 15 years, Diana has grown Cosana from a small catering venture into a beloved local brand, now including a food truck, café, catering services, an online store, and a signature line of gourmet New Zealand puff pastry pies.
